About The Founder

Shane Griffin is a performance strategist, serial entrepreneur, and the founder of Griffin Performance and Strategy Group.

In his twenties and early thirties, Shane built, owned, and operated multiple nightclubs in Toronto—high-paced, high-risk businesses that required constant decision-making under pressure. The ventures were commercially successful and publicly visible. Internally, they were unsustainable.

At his own decision, Shane entered residential treatment. That period marked a clean break—not a pause—from his previous operating model. Recovery became the foundation, not the footnote.

During his third week of treatment, Shane applied to a formal education program and committed to returning to school immediately upon discharge. Within a month of leaving treatment, while newly sober, he began full-time study. Over the following eighteen months, he fast-tracked his degrees, graduating as class valedictorian. The work was deliberate: to formalize, validate, and responsibly apply the systems he had already begun living and refining.

Shane is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) with a degree in Applied Holistic Nutrition, an Orthomolecular Health Practitioner, a board-certified performance coach, and a Co-Active life coach. These credentials were pursued not to create identity, but to ground lived experience in evidence-based application.

With over thirteen years of sobriety, Shane has since launched, scaled, and exited multiple ventures across wellness and retail. Throughout that time, he has worked privately with elite performers, high-level athletes, and individuals of stature across business, sport, and organizational leadership—often behind the scenes, by referral, and by discretion.

One element has remained constant across every venture and engagement: a disciplined human performance framework built on structure, accountability, and execution. That framework became the backbone of GPSG.
